Polish is a spoken by about 40 million speakers, most of them in Poland, Lithuania and Belarus. There are also large numbers of Polish speakers in the UK, USA, Canada, Ireland and Brazil. POlish is a member of the family of Western Slavic languages which include Kashubian, Lower Sorbian, Upper Sorbian, Czech and Slovak.
