Samoan

The Samoan language (le gagana Sāmoa) is spoken by approximately 420,000 speakers in Western Samoa and American Samoa. Samoan belongs to the Austronesian language family which also includes Tongan (Faka Tonga), Maori (te reo Māori), Rarotongan (te Reo Rarotonga), Tahitian (te Reo Mā'ohi/Tahiti), Hawaiian ('Ōlelo Hawai'i) and Fijian (Vosa Vakaviti).

The Samoan eBooks are available in two versions – one with accents used throughout the text, one without accents used.

Please note: Even though older computers may not show the macron (the straight line over the long vowels) correctly on this webpage, please be assured that the macron will appear correctly in the eBooks on your computer, regardless whether it has unicode support or not (as seen in the images below).
