Norwegian - Norsk

The Norwegian language is spoken by around 5 million speakers in Norway, Canada, Ecuador, Sweden, the UAE and the USA. Norwegian is closely related to, and generally mutually intelligible with Swedish and Danish. Written Danish and Norwegian are particularly close, though the pronunciation of all three languages differs a grat deal. Norwegian has two standard written forms - Bokmål and Nynorsk. These books are written in Bokmål. Norwegian is a member of the family of Northern Germanic languages.
